More About the Youth Program
Kids Born 2011, 2012, 2013
Find below a sample weekly schedule. Please keep in mind these are sample schedules reflecting the types of activities that may happen during the week. They are not reflective of actual programming. Actual program schedules WILL be available prior to the start of camp.
Choose your own activity: Youth are given a chance to choose what they would like to play with while a leader mans each station while the kids can go back and forth between stations. These are our usual options: jump on the trampoline, jump on the bouncy castle, play with life sized foam blue blocks, play soccer, play hockey, play basketball, or colour and make bracelets.
Onsite activities: We have many planned activities that we hold in the church's facilities, some examples are: water day, worship, lessons and more! We also hope to have a fun activity come to us each week such as a magician or an animal show.
Walkable offsite activities: We love using the resources in the wonderful Streetsville community such as going on scavenger hunts, playing wide games on the empty school fields or going to local businesses like Streetsville Bowl.
Bus offsite trips: We always choose curated and age appropriate sites. Some examples may be: canoeing, rock climbing, tree top trekking etc.
Swimming & Splash pad: When going swimming, Youth can choose to take the swim test provided by the lifeguards at the pool we attend. If they pass they join a group of 5 other kids to swim the pool within the proximity of a chosen leader. If the child doesn’t pass the swim test or doesn't want to attempt the swim test they will be put into groups with a leader to camper ratio of 1 : 5. If they did not pass or take the swim test they must wear a lifejacket and stay within arms reach of their leader.
