More About the Littles Program
Ages 6 - 7
Find below a sample weekly schedule. Please keep in mind these are sample schedules reflecting the types of activities that may happen during the week. They are not reflective of actual programming. Actual program schedules WILL be available prior to the start of camp.
We will have themed Monday afternoons where we will play games and make crafts at the church based on that theme.
Choose your own activity: At different stations, Littles can choose what they would like to do with a leader supervising each station while the campers move to different activities with a leader. These are some of our usual options: play indoors with large foam blue blocks, colour, or play with the toys in our toddler room used for Sunday mornings; outdoors play such as soccer, or jump on the trampoline.
Onsite activities: We have many planned activities at the church. Some examples are: worship, lessons, science experiments, water day, and more! We also hope to have a fun activity come to us each week such as a magician or an animal show.
Walkable offsite activities: We love using the resources in the wonderful Streetsville community such as our parks or local businesses like Streetsville Bowl. When a trip is a walkable distance we line the campers up with leaders spaced between the campers and all walk together. Our leaders know how to safely cross the roads with our Littles and keep a careful eye on them.
Bus offsite trips: The Juniors and Littles go together on all offsite trips that need a bus. We always choose curated and age-appropriate sites. Some examples are: Amazing Adventures Indoor Playground, Andrews Scenic Acres (Andrews Farm), and Chinguacousy Park.
Swimming + Splash pad: When going swimming, Littles can choose to take the swim test provided by the lifeguards at the pool we attend. If they pass they join a group of 5 other campers to swim in the pool within the proximity of a chosen leader. If a camper doesn’t pass the swim test or doesn't want to attempt the swim test they will be put into groups with a leader-to-camper ratio of 1:4. If they did not pass or take the swim test they must wear a lifejacket and stay within arms reach of their leader while in the pool.
